We are a group of leading ministries from North America who work with their region's churches and individuals to develop Christ-centered outreach programs for residents of long term care centers.
IN THE BEGINNING
In 2001 a few nursing home missionaries began to pray about bringing together all the directors of ministries who shared in the common goal of providing Christian spiritual care in long-term care centers.
After some research, it was discovered that there were over twenty such ministries in North America.
An invitation was sent to each one, and on January 31, 2003, seventeen key leaders from eleven different ministries gathered in Florida for a few days of prayer, fellowship and sharing our hopes for the future of nursing home ministry.
Since this first meeting we have gathered once or twice a year in various locations. Because of this fellowship and the Lord's grace upon us, we have grown closer to each other and stronger in our individual ministries.
While maintaining our own individual ministry identity and responsibilities, we cooperate with our Lord Jesus Christ in building His church in America's care centers.
It is truly our privilege to partner together with Him in this great mission field.
OUR PURPOSE
As a Christ centered fellowship, we are committed to gather to provide encouragement for the leaders of care center ministries. We do this through spiritual renewal, networking, fellowship, and sharing resources. |
