Autumn Years Ministries

Purpose
Our goal is to win the lost and to disciple the saved in nursing homes where we minister. Our approach includes the use of pastors, church teams and seniors for evangelizing, one-on-one visitations, church services, Bible teaching, encouraging, and comforting the residents.

Christian Concourse Ministries, Inc.

Purpose
Our purpose is to share the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to promote the unity of the Body of Christ. As a practical expression of this purpose, we encourage and enable believers to minister to others in three definite ways: 1) extensive ministry in the care facility arena; 2) the publication of Christian poetry; and 3) small-group, seminar-style, inductive Bible study and prayer.

Regional Focus
Local activities are concentrated in the Hampton Roads area of Southeastern Virginia. Our materials are distributed internationally, especially among the English speaking nations of the world.

Other Activities
We facilitate an ongoing "care package" ministry and maintain a "computer lending program" for care center residents. Church services are conducted in several facilities in the Hampton Roads area. We maintain an intensive one-on-one visitation and chaplaincy program.

Resources/Training Available
We offer A Handbook for Nursing Home Ministry, Our Hymn Book (large print, 36 songs) and an accompanying instrumental CD. These materials are provided upon request without charge to care facility volunteers and staff. We also publish a monthly ministry letter. When asked, we provide nursing home training classes tailored to the need.

Purpose

Purpose
To recruit, train, and support Christians for ministry in long term care facilities.

Regional Focus
We recruit and support teams throughout northeast Ohio; however, our training programs are shared nationally.

We have a 250-page nursing home ministry handbook, a guidebook for developing a nursing home ministry care team, an eight-session DVD training series, and a bimonthly newsletter. We also provide half-day and full-day training workshops for beginners and experienced volunteers.

Nursing Home Ministries, Inc.

Purpose
NHM recruits, trains and commissions chaplains to serve the residents of adult care facilities. Chaplains conduct weekly chapel services, Bible studies, hymn sings, and one-on-one room visitations. Our goal is to bring hope and purpose to the residents and the staff of the facilities that we serve.

Regional Focus
Current focus includes 155 chaplains serving in nine states. (OR, WA, CA, ID, MT, AZ, MO, SC, TX)

New chaplains are trained by experienced chaplains. In our training we are using materials from The SonShine Society, God Cares Ministry, and Community Chaplain Service.

SonShine Society

Purpose
The purpose of the Sonshine Society is to present a Christian witness in the care centers of our land. To do this, we recruit, train, and equip volunteers to do individual and group ministry in care centers in their local areas.

Other Activities
We publish a bi-monthly newsletter, "Bits of Sonshine", which helps to tie together those serving with Sonshine around the USA and Canada. It also serves to instruct and encourage those involved in the ministry.

Resources/Training Available
Sonshine offers over 30 resources for this ministry. Most of the resources are in large print for use by the elderly and confined. These include song books, tracts, and Scriptures. We also offer a variety of resources for ministry workers. These include our training guide, "All the Days of My Life", books that have devotional ideas and helps geared for presenting to the aged and/or confined, Bible study guides, and music resources. Sounds of Joy

Purpose

We Care Ministries, Inc.

Purpose
We Care was founded in 1991, primarily to encourage, assist, and enable Christ-centered ministries to the elderly, others needing care, and their care-givers for the purpose of fulfilling their spiritual and other needs.

Regional Focus
“Hands on” ministry is provided in the Greater Kansas City Area.

Christian in-home care assessment and assistance is available as needed on a limited basis. Pastoral Care programs are available.
